2nd or 3rd Year Plumber Apprentice
Leah The Plumber is looking for a 2nd or 3rd Year Plumbing Apprenticeship to join their growing team. Founded in 2013 we are local, friendly Saskatoonians who are dedicated to helping our customers get back to being comfortable at home specializing in Plumbing, HVAC, Air Conditioning and Heating. As the 2nd or 3rd Plumbing Apprentice you’ll be responsible for all plumbing and heating assigned to them.

What your day to day will look like:
- Ensure the health, comfort and safety of customers and fellow employees at all times by maintaining clean and safe work sites
- Estimate all aspects of a project including; all materials, costs, equipment, and time frames
- Perform rough-ins, repairing and replacing fixtures, locating and repairing and/or removing leaking or broken pipes
- Install water heaters, water softeners, sinks, taps, and tubs
- Assist in demolition for renovations
- Instruct customers on proper care and maintenance of mechanical equipment
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Course certificate of completion for 2nd and 3rd year Plumbing
- Knowledge and experience in the service area of the Plumbing and Heating industry an asset
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, gas codes, and current laws and regulations of the trade
- Common sense and logical approach to problem solving with top notch customer service skills and the ability to work independently
Journeyman Plumber
Leah The Plumber is looking for a Journeyman Plumber to join their growing team. Founded in 2013 we are local, friendly Saskatoonians who are dedicated to helping our customers get back to being comfortable at home specializing in Plumbing, HVAC, Air Conditioning and Heating. As the Journeyman Plumber you’ll be responsible for all plumbing and heating tasks from initial diagnostic and installation to repair.

Journeyman Sheet Metal/ Fabrication
Leah The Plumber is looking for a Journeyman Sheet Metal/ Fabrication to join their growing team. Founded in 2013 we are local, friendly Saskatoonians who are dedicated to helping our customers get back to being comfortable at home specializing in Plumbing, HVAC, Air Conditioning and Heating. As the Journeyman Sheet Metal/ Fabrication you’ll be responsible for fabricating ducts for heating and air conditioning systems performing diagnostic, installation and repairs.

What your day to day will look like:
- Ensure the health, comfort and safety of customers and fellow employees at all times by maintaining clean and safe work sites
- Estimate all aspects of a project including; all materials, costs, equipment, and time frames
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded
- Test air movement and flow to determine duct sizes. Ensure that HVAC systems head and cool room properly and air flow is transferred through sheet metal ducts efficiently
- Operate fabricate machines to cut, bend and straighten sheet metal. Also shaping metal or alter parts using shears, hammers, punches and drills
- Complete timely inspections and accurate reporting of equipment
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Completion of Journeyman Sheet Metal/ Fabrication Certificate
- Must have gas ticket
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license
- Strong knowledge of fabricating machines
- Experience of zoning and high velocity systems
- Some knowledge of plumbing, heating and electrical
- Common sense and logical approach to problem solving with top notch customer service skills and the ability to work independently
Scheduling Clerk/ Office Administrator
Leah The Plumber is looking for a Scheduling Clerk/ Office Administrator to join their growing team. Founded in 2013 we are local, friendly Saskatoonians who are dedicated to helping our customers get back to being comfortable at home specializing in Plumbing, HVAC, Air Conditioning and Heating. As the Scheduling Clerk/ Office Administrator you will be responsible for keeping the business running like a well-oiled machine. Handling all customer inquiries, scheduling technicians, and completing basic AP/AR all while providing rockstar level service.

What your day to day will look like:
- Main point of contact for our customers and technicians for all inquiries. Providing excellent customer service to build long term relationships with employees, customers and suppliers
- Schedule and maintain all service calls including; technicians daily schedules and dispatch call information
- Prepare and arrange work orders, timesheets, plumbing and gas permits and inspections, customer maintenance agreements, supplier and vendor agreements, and customer follow up calls and appointments
- Perform basic AP/AR duties including; submitting timesheets to payroll, full cycle invoicing, and supplier statements and invoicing
- General administrative duties as needed including but not limited to; office supplies, paperwork, data entry, emails and company communications
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Ideal to have a post-secondary education in Administration or a similar field
- Must have minimum 2 years experience working in a similar customer facing role
- Must be proficient in Quickbooks and Service Fusion
- Previous experience in the trade industry considered an asset
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in an ever changing environment with a high level of organization and customer service skills
